Philip is a qualified naturopath, nutritionist, and herbalist. He was in private practice from 1994 to 2000 before becoming head of faculty for naturopathy, herbal medicine, and nutrition at a natural therapies college. He has more than 20 years’ experience teaching anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and naturopathy papers. In 2008 he received a Masters degree in nutrition. In 2015 he started a new part time clinic. 

His main interest is in the gut microbiome and how it contributes to health and disease.
