PART ONE – APPLY FOR ADMISSION (DIPLOMA OF HOLISTIC NUTRITION ONLY)
- In preparation for completing the online enrolment application form, please prepare your supporting documents as below:
– Application Questionnaire
– Certified Identification, academic transcripts (if relevant), proof of English proficiency (if relevant). NB: It may take time to have your documents certified.
– Letter of Recommendation: Please supply a letter of recommendation from somebody of standing who has known you for at least two years (not a family member). They may be an employer, someone in education, a natural medicine practitioner, a kaumatua, a community or religious leader.Their letter should outline the following points
– Their credentials and contact details
– The capacity in which they know you
– How long they have known you
– Why they think you would be suitable in this field
– What personal qualities you hold that will help you to succeed in study and in this profession. - Complete the online enrolment application form and upload your supporting documents.
– If you cannot upload all the documents required, please save your enrolment application form, and contact us for assistance.
– Incomplete applications will not be considered.
PART TWO – SELECTION PROCESS and OFFER OF PLACE
- Within 10 days of submitting your application, we will let you know whether you have been selected for the first interview.
– Diploma of Holistic Nutrition and Bachelor of Natural Medicine applicants will be requested to pay an application fee of $138 incl. GST. Payment details will be provided. Your interview will be arranged on receipt of payment.
– There is no application fee for the NZ Certificate in Study and Employment Pathways – Natural Medicine, or Certificate of Personal Interest courses. - Interviews will be scheduled online or on-campus in Ellerslie, Auckland. You will be sent the interview questions in advance.
- Prior to your interview, please watch the information video which provides details about the programme.
- You may be invited to a second interview if there are points that the enrolment team wish to clarify.
- All applicants will be notified of the outcome after the selection process has taken place.
- If you are offered a conditional ‘Offer of Place’ in a programme at SPCNM, you must sign and return all forms before you receive confirmation of your enrolment.
PART THREE – ENROLMENT and PREPARING TO STUDY
- You will be provided with:
– Confirmation of your enrolment.
– Access to our online learning system (Student Resources, Academic Success Programme, and other resources).
– Required text list and Timetable.
– An invoice for your first year of study. - Please note, your fees invoice payment must be paid, or you must have Studylink funding confirmed, two weeks in advance of the semester start date, i.e. by 28 January 2025 (the semester start date is Monday 10 February 2025).
- A live Orientation event is held with online attendance also available via Zoom.
- You will have access to your course/s and the SPCNM Library at the beginning of the new Semester.
